Baldur’s Gate 3 es GOTY en los Game Developers Choice Awards: Zelda Tears of The Kingdom y Venba entre los máximos ganadores en GDC 2024

Aunque los premios a lo mejor de 2023 se empezaron a entregar desde los últimos meses del año pasado, estaba pendiente una de las premiaciones más prestigiosas de la industria de los videojuegos: la que entregan los mismos desarrolladores a sus colegas.

Esta tarde en el marco de GDC 2024 que está sucediendo en San Francisco, se celebraron la 26ª entrega de los Independent Games Festival Awards y la 24ª entrega de los Games Developers Choice Awards.

En una ceremonia demarcada por una crítica fuerte a los despidos dentro de la industria se celebró a lo mejor de los videojuegos. En el evento también destacaron los reconocimientos que recibieron Fawzi Mesmar, VP Global Creative de Ubisoft, con el Ambassador Award y la compositora japonesa Yoko Shimomura con el Lifetime Achievement Award.

Entre lo destacado de los GDC Awards estuvo Venba, que después de haber triunfado en los premios IGF, también logró quedarse con dos premios en esta premiación. Aunque Baldur’s Gate fue el máximo ganador de la noche, The Legend of Zelda Tears of The Kingdom también fue uno de los juegos más condecorados.
